After what was a complete washout at IRP on Friday night, the Carb Night Classic was pushed back to Saturday Morning. That was completely fine by me. Silver Crown, Midgets and the USF Pro Championships. Now I am very good friends with Jay Howard driver Michael Costello. That connection enabled me to get to know his teammates Evagoras and Tanner.
I could sit here and read Wikipedia like certain NASCAR YouTubers do, but I don't do that. This information comes from the eyes at the track. All 3 of the Jay Howard drivers are incredibly fast. They have bright futures in racing. I've known Michael since last year at an F4 race in New Jersey. That kid is going places. But Tanner as soon as the green dropped was fast right from lap 1. That guy made moves high and low and by lap 10 I think he already set sail into the lead. He had at least one restart at the end to master, but he pulled it off.
I really think there's a severe lack of coverage for the junior ranks in open wheel, guess that's where this site will kick in! Stay tuned for more analysis.
